|---|---|---|
| at | 钟点,以及一些固定时间表达 | at 7:15;at noon;at night |
| on | 星期、日期、具体某一天的早晚 | on Wednesday;on 12 June;on Saturday morning |
| in | 月份、年份、季节、一般的早晚 | in April;in 2026;in winter;in the evening |
| before | 早于某个时间或事件 | before breakfast |
| after | 晚于某个时间或事件 | after the concert |
The workshop starts at ten on Saturday morning in June.
英式常说 at the weekend,美式常说 on the weekend。next Monday、last year、this morning 等表达前通常不加 at、on、in。Cambridge:时间中的 at、on、in
|---|---|---|
| for | 持续多久 | for three weeks |
| since | 从过去哪个时间点起 | since last summer |
| during | 发生在什么时期或事件内 | during the school holidays |
We stayed at the cottage for three days during the spring holidays.
I have known her since our first music lesson.
Cambridge:for 与 since
during 不单独用来给出长度,因此“等了两小时”通常说 waited for two hours。不过 during the first two hours 表示“最初两小时内”,完全可以使用。 Cambridge:during
|---|---|
| return the key by six | 最晚六点归还,六点是期限 |
| keep the key until six | 一直持有到六点 |
| return the key before six | 六点之前归还,早于六点 |
Please finish the reading by Friday. You can keep the book until then.
I did not start until noon.(我直到中午才开始。)Cambridge:by、Cambridge:until
- from A to B:from eight to ten,八点到十点。
- between A and B:between eight and ten,八点到十点之间。
- I will leave in two hours.:
- I finished the chapter in two hours.:
- I read for two hours.:
不要混成 between eight to ten 或 since eight to ten。Cambridge:from、Cambridge:between
before lunch 与 before we eat 的结构不同;后一种连接分句。during 后通常接名词短语,不能照搬成 during we eat。
