there be 用来引出某人、某物或某种情况的存在。这里的 there 起引导作用，通常不翻译成“那里”。
基本结构
There is a spare key in the drawer.

There are two messages on the noticeboard.
译文：公告板上有两条留言。
写作中通常根据后面的单数、不可数或复数名词选择 is／are。句中的地点信息由 in the drawer、on the noticeboard 表达，并不由引导词 there 本身提供。
There is no need to do
There is no need to print another copy.
译文：不必再打印一份。
no need 表示没有必要；to print 说明不必做的事。There’s 是 there is 的缩写。这个结构在安慰别人时也可以表达“不用担心／不必害怕”。
与表示地点的 there 比较
I will wait there. 中的 there 才指“在那里”。Monsters同时出现了表示位置的 there 和 There’s no need…，应分别理解，不能都译成“那里”。
